THE STORY of BÓHDAN

My name is Alla Bóhdan, and I live BÓHDAN.

Every BÓHDAN piece is clean, deliberate, and free of anything unnecessary. This clarity is something I carry from my roots.

Each design is a reflection of my Ukrainian heritage — intentional, resilient, and honest in its meaning.

Every BÓHDAN diamond is ethically sourced, and each piece is crafted right here in New Zealand — my second home. I’ve been here for nearly a decade. It’s where I built a life, and a beautiful family.

From initial idea to final polish, every step happens locally. BÓHDAN work only with trusted laboratories that share our commitment to sustainability and ethics. Because how something is made matters just as much as how it looks.

FOUNDATION

True elegance doesn’t shout. It radiates.

A single luminous ring can carry more identity, more weight, more power than

a dozen stacked trends.

BÓHDAN was born from that belief: jewellery should be timeless — not just in design, but in spirit.

When I sketch, I imagine a woman wearing her ring decades from now — and it still feels like her.

An heirloom not to be reworked, but preserved.

A BRAND BUILD ON BOND

BÓHDAN began not just as a brand, but as a bond.

Tania, BÓHDAN co-founder, and I have shared over ten years of friendship — the kind of connection that doesn’t need explanation. BÓHDAN is simply an extension of that: honest, steady, and deeply intentional.

It all started with a gift.
To celebrate a decade of friendship, Tania and I created matching diamond pendants — minimal, seamless, and deeply personal. Not flashy. Not performative. Just right. The kind of piece you never take off because it feels like part of you. Jewellery your fingers reach for without thinking, and your eyes linger on — because it reflects something deeply personal: who you are, and who you love.
